This program sets the dates/date ranges / particular days of the week that surcharges apply.
Usually, surcharges do apply during peak season as well as weekends.
This is a feature in addition to the occupancy formula to manipulate the rate at a certain day, regardless of the occupancy level.

The surcharge can be added to accommodation, Rate code, or BDI, or all three

To Add

  1. Click the "add new record". A new box will populate.
  2. Give the surcharge a unique name.
  3. Select the Validity date from & until.
  4. You can select if the surcharge is by percentage or by amount.
  5. Holiday, Annual & Select days: This has 2 options. Either a surcharge is a “holiday surcharge” and requires date from & date until only. The user can choose if these holidays are annual although the days will be different. For e.g Christmas is always December 25 but the day is different.

If the holiday is yes and the annual is set to"yes" it is not possible to select any of the days. If the tick box “select days” has been selected, and the user selects Holiday no and annual "no"  and when the user changes the setting back to holiday = ‘yes’, all
selected days will be cleared including the tick box.

  6. Select from the accommodation, rate code, or BDI's list this surcharge is applicable.
  7. Early Checkin -Click early check-in if a surcharge applies for early check-in
  8. Late Checkout - if the user selects a check box for late checkout or early check-in, at least 1 rate code and 1 accommodation, and a BDI must be selected.
  9. Click "Submit" when done.

Note: There must be at least one BDI.
