This program is a very important program. E-Hors is an ERP system, any transaction with a financial implication will be booked in the GL. Errors in the linking of revenue sources will result in errors in GL. The program Revenue Accounts is needed to link all kinds of revenue sources (Recipe types) to the correct account in the COA. The basic rule is simple. Any revenue account must have a recipe type but multiple recipe types can be linked to the same account.
Revenue sources (Recipe Type)  need to be linked not only to the COA but also to an outlet. This means that a recipe type can have multiple links. This allows us to produce P&L reports based on the linked criteria.


The lowest level of linking is Outlet. In other words. Based on the outlet we know the department, and based on the department we know the division.
If the user shuffles the outlet or department, new transactions will follow automatically the new links. 


Recipe types that have existing linking will be displayed when you open the program "Revenue account link". 

Remarks:  Adding a new record affects all properties within the group. This means to add new record is all, edit and delete is per property

Important Note: When a link is not created, E-Hors will use the fixed (blue) account “Uncleared Outlet Revenue”. It is very important to keep an eye on this account, as in the basis no transactions should be recorded in this account.

Update Revenue Account Linking: Please take note that an update of the revenue accounts does NOT update historical transactions. The update function should only be used before the live date of E-Hors or when historical transactions remain with the old link. There is a different program that allows updating the revenue type, including historical transactions, this program is under the program group “Journal Management” and is called “Update Revenue Accounts”.

If the outlet name is still in blue-green, this means that the outlet belongs to the other property. This requires linking. 


  1. Click the button " add new record",
  2. Select the Recipe type that you want to link by clicking on the so-called “drop-down box”.
  3. Select the outlet to which the recipe types apply. This can be more than one outlet.
  4. Select the Account Ledger by clicking on the so-called “dropbox”.
  5.  Select the Account Group by clicking on the so-called “dropbox”
  6. Select the Account by clicking on the so-called “dropbox”.  You can also directly select the account name without going through the process of selecting the ledger first.
  7.  Click the “submit” button when done; E-Hors will update the system and the link will appear in the data grid with the existing (active or non-active links). 

The number of times the Recipe type and Outlet have been linked already can be seen right beside the recipe type name and the outlet name.


To Unlink (deactivate)

Double-check first before deactivating any existing linking

  1. Select the link from the data grid with the existing links, the link is highlighted
  2. Click the “Deactivate” button; E-Hors will update the system and the new data will only appear in the data grid if the checkbox "hide inactive is un-ticked.
  3. Are you sure you want to de-activate this record?
  4. Click "OK".


To Edit

  1. Click the "edit" icon and start editing the data. Any changes in the linking will only apply to the new transactions.
  2. Click "submit" when done.
  3. Click "Cancel" if you don't want to make any changes.


Show In-active

UN-tick the box to show in-active records.

Nonactive links will appear when the small tick box in the right top corner is selected.
