This program allows you to create a discount for a long stay based on the idea for x number of nights you get one free night. A long stay discount can also be handled by rate code.

Any LOS you add to this program will appear in the rate code. 

Remarks: This is a “Per Property” program. This means, that add edit, delete will not affect other properties.


To add

  1. Click on the "Add New Record"
  2. Give the LOS (length of stay) a unique name.
  3. Enter the Date From & Until
  4. Enter the number  of " Nights Stay"
  5. Enter the number of nights free
  6. Repeat Stay
  7. Discount Type: Select if the discount is based on the Percentage or an amount
  8. Amount: Enter the value based on the selected discount type.
  9. Click "Submit" when done.

        The field Repeat Stay refers to :

        Repeat "YES"

           - first 5 nights, night 6 is for free, meaning guest stays 6 nights

           - next 5 nights, night 12 is for free

        Repeat "NO"

           - first 5 nights, night 6 is for free, the discount for LOS will not be repeated. It only applies one time.



To Edit

  1. Select the discount you want to edit.
  2. Click on the "edit" icon.
  3. Start editing the data.
  4. Click submit when done or cancel if you don't want to make any changes.

Note: LOS data like nights stay, Nights free, Repeat Stay, Discount Type & amount can only be edited if the LOS is not used in the rate code yet. If the LOS is already used in the rate code , the date range can still be extended but cannot be shortened ( see example below). 



To Delete (deactivate)


  1. Select the LOS discount that you want to deactivate, click "deactivate" button.
  2. Are you sure you want to de-activate this record?
  3. Click "OK".

Note: 

If LOS is deactivated in the LOS program.

  • If the LOS is deactivated in the LOS program, what will happen is that the deactivated LOS will no longer be used in the future rate codes. But if that particular LOS formula was used in the rate code and is deactivated, that formula will still be available in the rate code program, related to editing reservation.

If LOS is deactivated in the rate code program.

  • If the LOS is deactivated in the rate code program, what will happen is the linking of that formula, will no longer be active for that particular rate code. But it remains active in the LOS program. 



To Re-activate

  1. UN-tick the box “hide inactive” to show the inactive records.
  2. Locate the LOS discount that you want to re-activate, click the "re-activate" button.
  3. Are you sure you want to re-activate this record?
  4. Click "OK".
