A kitchen display is a digital screen that replaces printed (kitchen docket) or handwritten orders (captain orders)  in kitchens.


How to Install

1. Install the KDS APK

  • Ehors will provide each customer with an APK for android for each property.
  • Ehors will provide a google link for download and installation on your android device

Minimum Requirements

  • Android version minimum android 5.1.1
  • The design for the screen 28 inches ~ 32inch widescreen display

Remarks: You can install an app to automatically start the KDS android app on your android device (e.g. our office KDS has the Auto start app APK pre-installed, then will automatically start the KDS app when you restart the android device and open the device)

 2. After installing the KDS APK. Go to Admin & System> Property Management > Printer and add the IP address. Select the exact printer type.

3. Go to F&B > Menu Management > Menu per outlet and add the KDS printer for the categories that you want to be shown in KDS when the recipe is ordered. See example

4. If you are using SET MENU, go to F&B > Recipe Builder> Set Menu and add the KDS printer for the courses that you want to be shown in KDS when the recipe is ordered. See example


GUI

  1. Top Left: shows the IP Address
  2. Center: Selection of property and outlet
  3. Top Right: Refresh button (default Auto refresh 15sec)
  4. Bottom Left: Toggle to different pages
  5. Bottom Right: No of items per page.


How To Use?

Select the property and select the outlet name. KDS Will only display the orders for the selected property and outlet.

Click on the recipe name that you want to process. A new order will be in light pink. 

The next status after clicking the new order is "Preparing.

If no action is made after 2 minutes for the new order, the status will change automatically to New order overdue.

If no action is made after 10 minutes for the preparing status, the status will change automatically to preparing overdue.

The next Status after preparing status is "Completed"

Last Step, Clicking the "completed status" will clear the order from the list.

Canceled items will also be displayed in KDS in red color.

 

Canceled bills will also be displayed in KDS in red color. To clear it from the list
