This program handles Assign Room as a separate program. Usually, the night shift uses this program to assign rooms for the next day's check-IN.
When assigning a room we need to take certain preferences from the guest defined in the guest profile into consideration, if any.
A guest can only check in into the hotel if there is a room assigned to the guest. There are 2 ways to assign a room:
- The program Room Assign
- During the check-in process
How to assign a room using the program room assign?
- Go to Front office>Reception>Room Assign. Then search the reservation by date of check-in or by reservation ID.
- Select the folio that you want to assign. After clicking the folio the choices of rooms based on the assigned accommodation type will be shown.
- Select the room. A message will appear that the room has been assigned successfully.
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the remaining folio.
You can also change the filter to show the folio that has no room assignment yet by clicking the button "without room only. You can also change the accommodation type by selecting another room type. The moment you select a different room type, Ehors will show the upgrade/downgrade option. Click yes if it's an upgrade click no if it's a downgrade.
How to assign a room during the check-in process?
- Click the check-in button. This will only appear if the date of check-in is today's date.
- The room assign box will populate. Select a VC room.
